Be Honest and Open With Your Recruitment Consultant

Very often Candidates are not transparent with their Recruitment Consultant and this is often motivated by fear. In order to receive a complete service from your Recruitment Consultant; honesty and transparency are critical, allowing us to accurately guide and advise you on your best course of action in your current circumstances.

Remember too counteroffers are NOT a solution. When your current employer gives you a counteroffer, after you have accepted a new position in a new company, this is far too late. The problems and concerns you are already experiencing will not go away and are sure to remain. Their motivation for counter offering you is very often themselves and how they are going to produce results with a vacant post. Whilst, in the meantime, you have broken loyalty and trust and have already severed the working relationship by going outside of your current place of employment. By accepting a counteroffer you will also lose credibility with both your new and current employer as this shows fickleness in your decision making and someone who cannot be relied on.

Once you begin your search for a new job stay with the process right through to the end. Don’t waste your time, our time and the client’s time. Time is valuable and that behaviour is unprofessional. Be honest and open with your Recruitment Consultant throughout your relationship with them and if you have any concerns whatsoever, at any point, do speak up. We value your transparency.
